How is your October going? Pdw's October is going. We are re-organizing this company of mine and slowly turning it into a smaller direction. You can probably tell we have been putting more stuff over on our "etsy" site vs the "website" and that is for a few reasons. Reason one we will eventually have a brand new site, a clean and organized site that will flow better than water. Most of you think our site is nice but the back end of it is a BEAR, and we have had more problems with it than anybody needs. I do promise you that the "new" site is being done by a AWESOME web firm that has built it's share of "crafty" sites. He knows exactly how to build my dream site that will concist of Shopping, Message board, gallery, DT gallery, the kit club...but most of ALL a site that I can update in seconds and a site that you can shop with ease. I thought for sure that I could have it done by the fall but if you follow me personally on FB or you read my personal blog you know that we are in the middle of a kitchen remodel. Like any remodel it ends up costing more that you think. So we moved the website back until late jan/early feb. Our logo will stay the same just the design is going to be updated and fresh. It's a BIG site and you will LOVE all the features it will offer you as the consumer. That brings me to the kit side of PDW. We will still have kits and we will slowly bring back the "club" part of it. I LOVE making and putting together these kits with all my heart and I also love teaching all of you how to create something. So with our normal kits we are also going to start in the spring {APRIL} we are going to offer online classes. I am looking into right now the BEST way to host them and store them so you all would have log-in's and videos. So that is where PDW is at the moment. I have CREATE WHIMSY which is our weekend crops that I am so excited to get that up and going we have one Nov 9th-11th. I have the Queen Bee market that I Will be taking "new" stuff to in our very 1st Booth...So we are keeping busy. Like I have ALWAYS said I LOVE what I do, it is just the last few years have gotten a litte messy and un organized. I sorta fell out of LOVE for my little company and it took a lot out in my personal family. I am hoping by re-doing the site and adding some great classes and creating again it will all fall into place. To be honest lately I have just left it up to GOD and where I should follow for my business path and I can honestly say in the past month it has been amazing, I have a few mini books being published and some layouts. I have so many awesome ideas for PDW, and MY CREATE WHIMSY crop is almost sold out. So it seems like when you clear your brain and listen to your heart instead of forcing stuff to work or happen it just happens...Anyway I hope I didnt bore you with all this because I do have something FUN to share a little WASHI TAPE DIY HOLDER.....So happy Fantastic Friday Friends....
Ok now that the talking is all done let me give you a little something fun to create this weekend...Years ago when I had a "few" ribbons that i wanted to store I came across a pant slack hanger and at the time it worked perfect to hang my ribbons on. I would just drape them over the hanger part. Now fast froward 5 years those ribbons are now housed in HUGE jars. The other day though while wondering through Target I came across that same hanger. A light bulb went off, this could totally hold WASHI TAPE rolls. So I bought it and made it...Here you go....

First gather supplies, the hanger 6.99 at target and some fabric. I used 2 different ones. One for the outside and one for the hanger part..

Tear your fabric into 1 inch or 2 inch strips I used 4 total to wrap the outside..

See just start at the hanger part and wrap...so cute and simple. I used a bit af fabric glue to adhere it and when that strip runs out just start with the next one..

See metal hanger all gone replaced with super cute fabric hanger. I love this slat hanger because the hanger part swings out so it is easy to replace your washi rolls...I need to make anther one though...I plan on getting a cute metal hook for the wall and hanging them there...

Here is a close up...If you make one PLEASE share it here in the comment section or over on our FB page...I would love to see your creation......
